This Nozama Online Privacy Statement supplements Nozama’s Privacy Statement.
This Statement applies to Nozama websites that link to it, but does not apply to Nozama websites that have their own Privacy Statement. In addition, it does not apply in cases where we only process information on behalf of customers for their benefit, such as when we are a web hosting service provider.
This Statement may be updated with additional information regarding a particular interaction we have with you, such as a transactional document or a specific privacy statement when you place an order or use an online service.
Nozama’s privacy practices, as they pertain to information collected through nozama.green, as described in this Privacy Statement, comply with the APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules System. The APEC CBPR system provides a framework for organizations to ensure the protection of personal information transferred between participating APEC economies.

Collection of personal information
You may choose to provide us with personal data in a variety of situations. For example, you may give us information such as your name and contact information so that we can communicate with you, place an order, process an order, register for a service, make a subscription, or do business with us if you are a supplier or customer. You may provide us with your credit card information to purchase a service from us, or share information about your education and work experience in connection with a job opening at Nozama that is of interest to you. If you tell us that you do not want us to use your information to contact you after you have completed your order, we will respect your wishes.
If you would like to receive information, download publications, register for a virtual or in-person event, or request a trial version, you may be asked to provide your name and professional contact information, as well as other information related to your request. We use this information in connection with your request and to communicate with you. In most cases, this information also serves to identify you when you visit our websites. You may also be asked to register YOUR SUSTAINABLE PROFILE, in which case you will need to provide us with your name, e-mail address, country and other information necessary for the purpose for which you are registering. The SUSTAINABLE PROFILE serves to uniquely identify you when you visit our websites, place an order or request, or use a product or service. To place orders for most of our products and services, we will ask you to register with a SUSTAINABLE PROFILE. Registering with a SUSTAINABLE PROFILE will allow you to customize and control your security settings. Certain NOZAMA products and services may require a unique registration specific to the purpose of providing such products or services. In such a case, the registration details you provide for a product or service will be used only for the specific purpose of providing that product or service to you.
Visits to websites, applications (“apps”) and services of the Nozama platform
We may also collect information about your use of our websites, Nozama platform services and applications (or “apps”) through various technologies. For example, when you visit our websites or access our applications or our Nozama services, we may record certain information sent to us by your browser, such as IP address (including information extracted from your IP address, such as geographic location), operating system, browser or device type, version and language, time of access, duration of access, and the addresses of the websites from which you came to us; we may even collect information about your use of the website or application, including block logs and usage statistics, the pages you view within our websites, the time you spend on each page, and other actions you take during your visit to our website. If you access our website without a SUSTAINABLE PROFILE or without logging in, we will still collect personal information to enable the websites to function properly.
In connection with mobile applications, we may also collect information about the location of your device, such as geo-location information or your unique user ID. In addition, some of our Nozama software products, applications and services include technologies that allow Nozama to collect certain information about your use of our products and services. We may also use these technologies to determine whether you have opened an e-mail message or clicked on a link in an e-mail. Most of the information we collect about you comes from our direct interactions with you.
We may occasionally collect information about you indirectly from other sources, such as list providers. When we do so, we ask the providers to confirm that the information has been lawfully acquired by the third party and that we have the right to obtain and use it from them.
When you register to participate in an event, we may collect additional information (online and offline) in connection with the organization of the event and during an event, such as participation in sessions and survey results. The event may be recorded, as well as group photos may be taken. We reserve the right to use the photos for promotional use. When you provide us with your professional contact information (such as when you provide us with a business card), we may use that information to contact you.
Information collected, either directly or indirectly, may be combined with other information to improve its accuracy and completeness and to enhance our interactions with you.
Use of personal information
The following paragraphs describe in more detail how Nozama uses your personal information.
Processing of your transaction request
If you make a request to Nozama (for example, for a product or service, telephone support, or certain marketing materials), we will use the personal information you provide to process your request. To make processing easier, we may share information with third parties, financial institutions, shipping companies, postal services or government entities, such as customs authorities, that are involved in the processing. We may also contact you for customer satisfaction surveys or market research.
Personalizing your experience on our websites
We may use the personal information we have collected about you to provide you with a customized experience on our websites and our services, such as providing content that is of interest to you or facilitating navigation on our websites. We may also use such information to improve our websites.

Nozama platform applications (“apps”) and services
We may use information collected about your use of Nozama services to: establish statistics about the use and effectiveness of our software products, our Nozama services and applications; improve and customize your use and experience of our products and services; customize our interactions with you; inform our customers about your general use of our products and services, and improve and develop our products and services, and improve and develop our products and services and tailor or improve interactions with your device; and prepare aggregated and anonymized reports.
The personal information you provide to Nozama, as well as the personal information we collect about you indirectly, may be used by Nozama for marketing purposes, for example, to keep you informed about events, products, services and solutions that Nozama sells that may complement an existing product catalog. Before we use it, however, we will give you the opportunity to choose whether or not we may use your personal information for this purpose. You may opt out of receiving marketing materials at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the e-mails you receive, by telling us so when we contact you, or by notifying us directly (see “Access and Privacy Questions” section below).
Some of our events or offers may be co-branded or sponsored by Nozama and third parties and solution providers, who use, resell or complement Nozama products or services. Branded events and offers that are co-branded clearly indicate this. If you register for these offers or events, you should be aware that these third parties may also collect your information, or we may share it with them. We encourage you to learn about their privacy policies to understand how they handle information about you.
If you choose to “Email this page” to a friend or colleague, we will request their name and email address. We will automatically send an e-mail message to share the page you have indicated, but we will not use that information for other purposes.
In cases of inquiries or requests for employment, whether from an offer advertised on a Nozama website or otherwise, you will need to provide us with information about yourself, such as a resume. We may use this information on Nozama to consider your job application or inquiry.
Monitoring and logging of calls, conversations and other interactions
For some online transactions, you may need to call us or we may need to call you. Online conversations may also take place.
Please note that the general rule at Nozama is to monitor and, in some cases, record these interactions to assist in staff training or quality assurance, or to have evidence of a particular transaction or interaction.
Use of information in the social computing environment
Nozama offers social computing tools on some of its websites to enable online collaboration between members registered to use them. These tools include forums, wikis, blogs and other social media platforms.
When downloading and using these applications or registering to use these social computing tools, you may be asked to provide certain personal information. Registration information will be subject to and protected in accordance with this Privacy Statement, except for information that is automatically provided to other participants as part of your profile. Protection of the rights and property of Nozama and others
We may also use or share your personal information to protect the rights and property of Nozama, our business partners, suppliers, customers or others, provided that we have a reasonable basis to believe that such rights or property have been or may be affected. In addition, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information, if required by law, and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others, to comply with judicial proceedings, court orders or legal process.
Information for Business Partners
If you represent a Nozama business partner, you may visit Nozama websites specifically designed for Nozama business partners. We may use the information provided on that website to administer and develop our business relationships with you, the business partner you represent and Nozama business partners in general. For example, your information may be used to send you detailed information about Nozama business partner programs. We may also share certain information with other business partners (subject to any confidentiality obligations that may exist), Nozama customers or potential customers. In connection with a particular transaction or program, we may also contact you to conduct customer satisfaction surveys or market research.
Unless otherwise indicated, our websites, products and services are not intended for children under the age of 16.
Nozama will retain your personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information is processed or for other valid reasons for retaining your personal information (for example, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or implement our agreements).
Your registration information will be retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services. If you would like to request that we no longer use your registration information to provide services to you, please contact us using this form.
In connection with Nozama services that you are authorized to use by the Nozama customer who has contracted for such service with Nozama, your registration information may be retained for compliance with certain requirements of such Nozama customer.
Cookies, web beacons and other technologies
As mentioned above, we collect information from your visits to our websites and from your use of our Nozama software products and services to compile statistics on usage and effectiveness, personalize your experience, customize our interactions with you, and improve our products and services. To do this, we use a variety of technologies, including scripts, tags, local shared objects (Flash cookies), local storage beacons (HTML5) and cookies.
What are cookies and why are they used?
A cookie is a piece of information that a website can send to your browser that may be stored on your system as a tag that identifies your machine. Although cookies are typically used only to measure website usage (such as number of visitors and length of visit) and effectiveness (such as what topics are of most interest to visitors) and to facilitate navigation or use and, as such, are not associated with any personal information, they also serve to personalize a known visitor’s experience on a website by being associated with their profile information or user preferences. Over time, this information is converted into valuable knowledge to enhance the user’s experience.
When a third party presents its products/services on a Nozama website, Nozama may generate anonymized aggregated information and share it with the third party to find out how many users have interacted or shown interest in its products/services.

Session cookies help you navigate the website efficiently by recording your progress from page to page so that you are not prompted for information you have already provided during the current visit, or information needed to complete a transaction. They are saved on the device’s hard drive and remain valid when you restart the browser. We use persistent cookies, for example, to record your choice of language and location.

Web beacons or other technologies
Some Nozama websites, Nozama platform services and software products also use web beacons or other technologies to better tailor those websites to provide better customer service. These technologies may be used on numerous pages of Nozama’s websites. When a visitor accesses these pages, a non-identifiable notice of that visit is generated that may be processed by us or our suppliers. These web beacons often work in conjunction with cookies. If you do not want cookie information to be associated with your visits to these pages or your use of these products, you can disable cookies in your browser or on the product itself, respectively. If you disable cookies, web beacons and other technologies will still detect visits to these pages, but will not be associated with the information stored in cookies.

We use Local Shared Objects, such as Flash cookies, and local storage, such as HTML5, to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our website or to display Nozama advertising on others’ websites based on your web browsing activity also use Flash cookies or HTML5 to collect and store information. Some browsers may offer their own management tools to remove HTML5.
We may include web beacons in marketing e-mail messages or newsletters to determine whether the messages have been opened and the links they contained clicked.
Some of our partners set web beacons and cookies on our website. In addition, third-party social media buttons may record certain information, such as IP address, browser type and language, time of access, and the addresses of the websites from which you came to our site. Even if you are logged into these social media sites, they may also link such collected information to your profile information on that website. We do not control these third-party tracking technologies.
Nozama does not serve third-party online advertising on our websites, but we advertise our products and services on the websites of others.
